Lindsay Lohan faces 90 days in jail and another 90 in rehab after violating her probation from a series of incidents in 2007. After turning herself in to face charges of driving under the influence in 2007, Lohan was arrested and charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, and cocaine possession. The 24-year-old starlet is scheduled to being her sentence on July 20.

Lindsay Lohan will soon be among the dead.

The 21-year-old actress is slated to report to a morgue for two days as part of a court-ordered program to show DUI offenders the real-life consequences of drinking and driving, her attorney said.

Lohan will also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room as part of the program.

At a progress-report hearing Thursday, Lohan's attorney Blair Berk told the judge the actress was on her way to fulfilling the terms of her plea bargain stemming from two DUI arrests, stating that Lohan had already spent two months in rehab and performed some community service, including work for the Red Cross.

The Mean Girls star also served 84 minutes in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, in November.

Lohan was not present at Thursday's hearing.

Following her dual booze-fueled driving arrests in May and July, the actress pleaded no contest to being under the influence of cocaine, driving with a blood alcohol level of over 0.08 percent and reckless driving.

She was sentenced to 36 months of probation, 24 hours in jail, an 18-month alcohol education program and 10 days of community service.

Lohan's next progress report hearing is scheduled for July 15. She is not required to attend.

Meanwhile, Lohan recently caught a break with regard to another legal matter on her docket.

An appellate court ruled last week that her pending deposition about an October 2005 car crash would not be caught on tape—at least for now.

A three-justice panel of the 2nd District Court of Appeal ordered Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern to show why he should not reverse his decision to allow her testimony to be videotaped and set a ...hearing for Mar. 26.

Lohan's attorneys had argued there was a strong potential for the videotaped deposition to fall into the wrong hands, pointing out that the footage of the actress could be worth thousands to certain unscrupulous types.

The deposition was slated to take place on Dec. 3 but has been placed on hold until the videotaping issue is sorted out.

Lindsay Lohan will be working in a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanor drunken driving. Lindsay’s lawyer outlined the plans for her current program yesterday, according to the Associated Press:

Her two four-hour days at the morgue are part of a court-ordered program to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. She must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.

Okay, the morgue I can understand. Those people ....are already dead, so there’s no real sense of urgency. The ER on the other hand, I dunno. Lawyer says Lohan back on sobriety track

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan rang in the New Year drinking champagne in Italy, her lawyer says, but is "back on track" in terms of sobriety. A video obtained by The Associated Press shows Lohan, who spent much of 2007 in and out of rehab, taking a swig from a champagne bottle while in Capri, Italy."After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay immediately stopped, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track," her attorney, Blair Berk, said Thursday in a statement. "There is no magic cure here."

"Unfortunately, Lindsay has to share her `one day at a time' with the entire world," Berk said.

Lohan, 21, was in Italy to receive an award at the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival.

Lohan pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges in two arrests earlier in the year.

As a result, she served 84 minutes in jail in November. She also was sentenced to three years' probation, required to complete an 18-month alcohol-education program and spend 30 days in a residential rehabilitation clinic.

Lindsay Lohan has denied claims she has been hired as a representative of Ariva lozenges. The star, 21, has been snapped with the sweets - an aid to help quit smoking - on numerous occasions in the last few weeks, prompting reports she has been signed up to advertise the product.

But a representative for the star has dismissed the rumours, saying: "Lindsay has not been paid to endorse Ariva. She is just a fan and is using it to help cut down her smoking as she is currently in the studio recording tracks for her third album."

Lohan serves 84 minutes in jail

Lindsay Lohan was in and out of jail after 84 minutes on Thursday.

According to officials, her original daylong sentence was reduced due to prison overcrowding.

When asked if Lohan received special treatment, the sheriff’s office responded:

“Absolutely not. This is what we do for most everybody in this position.”

She was arrested twice this year for DUI. She was in possession of cocaine both times.

In August, she reached a plea deal on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges stemming from the arrests.
